Harry Kane believes that England can win the 2018 World Cup.
England is bidding to win the World Cup for the first time since 1966. Though their major tournament record is not very impressive and most pundits do not favor them to win in Russia, Kane believes that they can overcome the odds.
Kane was appointed the captain of the Three Lions in Russia this week by manager Gareth Southgate.
“I think we can, I think we can win it,” Kane said at St George’s Park. “I think we’re not going to be favorites to win it. We know we’re not favorites to win it. But you look at this season, for example, no one would have thought Liverpool would have got to the Champions League final and they did. I believe we can win it and that’s what we’ve got to try and do. Anything else is not good enough, really.”
