Iker Casillas’ “Life Not In danger” After Suffering A Heart Attack

Spain’s famous captain who won the World Cup in 2010, 37-year old Iker Casillas suffered a heart attack during training with his team, Porto, and was promptly hospitalized.

This was stated by the Portuguese club and they also said that his life is not in danger. During the evening, Casillas himself tweeted that everything was under control and he expressed his thanks for everyone’s care and also posted a picture of him lying in his bed in the hospital.

A real football legend, Casillas played for 16 years in Real Madrid, helping the team win 3 Champion Leagues. Also, he played in Spain’s squad as they won two European Championships in 2008 and 2012, as well as the World Cup in 2010. He moved in Porto on a free transfer in 2015. Iker Casillas holds the title of player that has the most Champion League appearances, to be exact 176 of them. He also helped Porto win the Portuguese title last season.
