The transfer season is over in Britain, but the rest of the European Leagues are just starting to finalize their most interesting signings of the summer. The Spanish La Liga club Athletic Bilbao officially signed a new contract with their current player, the Basque international Inaki Williams. The 25-year-old player has put his signature on a 9-year contract extension lasting until 2028.

The player said that the club is his house and that he has everything he wants there. He also added that he hopes that great things will come because he wants to make the club bigger if possible.

The club has added a release clause in the new deal in the range of $151 million that would exceed the previous one by a greater margin.

The young winger started his career in 2013 playing for Basconia and since then he has made 254 appearances and has scored 76 goals.

The contract is one of the longest contracts that has been signed with a football player so far. But this still won’t break the current record which is held by another Spanish club – Real Betis with their ten-year-long contract that they signed back in 1998 with Denilson.
