Inter Miami CF still hasn’t given up on trying to bring a big European star to MLS. After proposed moves for the likes of Edinson Cavani and David Silva didn’t materialize, the club is now making a run at Barcelona’s midfielder Arturo Vidal.

According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Inter already sent a contract offer to Vidal in order to try and lure him from Camp Nou. While the report doesn’t contain details about the offer, the contract is described as “hard to reject.”

It’s unclear at the moment whether Vidal would be willing to leave La Liga and Europe at this point in his career. Despite being 33, the Chilean has been a consistent performer in the recent season for Barca and remains an important part of the team’s starting lineup.

Arturo Vidal played 41 games in all competitions with Barcelona this season, contributing with eight goals and three assists. Vidal arrived to Spain in 2018 from Bayern Munich, while he also played with Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen, and Colo-Colo over the course of his career.

Inter Miami has been linked with several top European players in the past year, but still hasn’t been able to pull off a big move. In the meantime, the team focused on youngsters and already have several potential stars on their team like Matías Pellegrini and Andrés Reyes.
