Inter Miami continues to add depth to their squad. The team announced on Tuesday that they have signed former USMNT forward Jerome Kiesewetter.
Kiesewetter joins Inter after spending the previous season with El Paso Locomotive of USL. He played 28 games with El Paso, scoring 12 goals in the process.
“Jerome brings speed, athleticism, and experience to our roster,” said Inter Miami CF sporting director Paul McDonough in a statement. “We are pleased to bring him to Inter Miami and begin working with him in the preseason.”
Jerome Kiesewetter has both German and U.S. citizenship but has represented the United States internationally. He was a regular member of the country’s younger sides, while also making two appearances for the senior team in 2016.
Kiesewetter spent the majority of his career in Germany, where he played with VfB Stuttgart and Fortuna Düsseldorf among other teams.
