Despite a recent public rift between Inter Milan and their manager Antonio Conte, the two sides won’t part ways this summer. The Seria A side issued an official statement, saying that Conte will remain at the team’s helm for the 2020/20 season. The club and Conte agree to continue their collaboration on a meeting that took place on Tuesday.

“The Club and Antonio Conte had a constructive meeting today focused on continuity and strategy, in which the two parties laid the foundations to continue working together on the Club’s project,” said Inter in a statement.

Conte was hired by Inter last summer, being tasked with ending Juventus’ dominance in Italy. While he failed to do so, he still guided the team to a second-place in Seria A and Europa League finals appearance.

Known for his temperament and passionate style of coaching, Conte clashed with Inter’s front office several times this season and even accused the club for lack of support. Still, it appears that this didn’t leave any bad blood between two sides as they are gearing towards making another run at Seria A title next season.

Antonio Conte previously worked with Juventus, Italy’s national team, and Premier League side Chelsea among other teams. He has three consecutive Seria A titles with Juve and one Premier League trophy with Chelsea.
