Inter Milan has reportedly come to an agreement with Real Madrid valued at $45 million, plus $6 in add-ons, to sign the talented right-back Achraf Hakimi to a contract.

Hakimi, who has spent the past two seasons on loan at Borussia Dortmund, will reportedly travel to Italy to undergo a physical and sign his contract this week, meaning that his incorporation to the squad could be immediate.

The Morocco international, who was born in Spain, has played in 54 games over the past two seasons for the Bundesliga side, establishing himself as a regular starter on one of the strongest teams in Germany.

There was recently talk that Hakimi could return to Real Madrid next season in order to replace or provide competition to current starting right-back Dani Carvajal, However, Los Blancos will either continue to stick with Carvajal or simply go in another direction in the future.

Hakimi will be expected to come in and start immediately for the Black and Blues, taking over for Danilo d’Ambrosio. He will become the second-most expensive transfer in the history of the club, falling behind only Romelu Lukaku’s $73 million move to Milan last summer.

The deal is expected to be announced officially later in the week.
