Serie A giants Inter Milan seem to have taken an interest in Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante. Inter boss Antonio Conte has reportedly directed his scouting network in the direction of Kante to replace Christian Eriksen, the former Tottenham Hotspur winger who seems likely to leave the club despite only arriving in January.

Chelsea is believed to have made Kante available for transfer due to their excessive spending throughout this summer’s transfer window. To date, they have spent an estimated £200 million on new signings. Just some of the big names arriving at Stamford Bridge in time for next season include Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, and Thiago Silva.

Chelsea’s most expensive signing of the lot, however, has been 21-year-old Kai Havertz, who arrived at the club for a cool £72 million price tag. While Kante might be a casualty of Chelsea’s excessive spending habits, the London club will not be willing to part with Kante for anything less than £80 million. Other Blues’ players who have also caught the attention of Inter Milan include full back Emerson Palmieri and striker Olivier Giroud.

Inter Milan’s top signing so far is right back Achraf Hakimi from Real Madrid for €40 million. They also committed to signing loanee Alexis Sanchez on a free permanent deal from Manchester United.
