The Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence is set to undergo further testing on his injured right shoulder on Monday, thereby throwing doubt over his eligibility to play in the Jags’ critical game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

“It’s bothering me,” Lawrence said of his injured shoulder following the Jaguars’ 30-12 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccanneers on Sunday. “Hopefully nothing major but, yeah, it’s bugging me right now.” The quarterback’s shoulder was injured when he was shoved by Bucs linebacker Yaya Diaby as he stretched and dove during a fourth-and-1 play late in the third quarter. Lawrence landed on his right shoulder out of bounds.

While the Jaguars remain top of the AFC South, they’ll be desperate to end a four-game losing streak and putting some daylight between them and the Houston Texans and the Indianapolis Colts. Currently, all three teams are tied at 8-7, however, the Jags remain on top by virtue of tiebreakers against their two division rivals.
