Journeyman infielder Mark Reynolds won’t be looking for a team to sign with once the 2020 MLB season resumes. During his recent appearance on Mad Dog Sports Radio, Reynolds confirmed he is officially retired from baseball.

Reynolds was a free agent since Colorado Rockies released him back in July, and failed to land on a team ever since. When asked whether he will continue looking, the 36-year-old slugger surprisingly broke out the news about his retirement.

“I’ve moved beyond that,” said Reynolds. “I’ve retired. … I’m really enjoying time with my family, and it’s time for me to move on and find something else to do.”

Mark Reynolds played with eight teams over the course of his 13 years long career including Arizona Diamondbacks, Baltimore Orioles, and two stints with the Rockies. His best performances came during his time in Arizona, where he had 121 home runs in four years. He was especially impressive in 2009 when he batted  .260 with 44 homers and 102 RBIs.

Reynolds couldn’t emulate this success with his other stops, although he put on solid performances in his second stint with Colorado. His career stats include .236, 298 home runs and 871 RBIs
