USMNT star Christian Pulisic is set to leave Chelsea this summer, and several clubs are already standing in line for his services. According to ESPN’s Mark Ogden, Seria A powerhouse Juventus is currently considered the favorite to sign Pulisic, and the move is expected to happen sooner than later.

Pulisic will reportedly be available for a discount price of just £20 million. The London club previously paid £58 million to sign the 24-year-old American from Borussia Dortmund in 2019.

Juventus are looking for ways to improve their squad without spending too much money, considering that they won’t play UEFA Champions League next season. Pulisic seems like a perfect candidate since he still has a big upside despite his failure to make an impact in Premier League.

The only thing standing in the way of Pulisic’s transfer is the player’s wages. He is one of the highest-paid Chelsea players and would need to take a significant pay cut in order to play in Italy.

Chelsea, on the other hand, wants to trim down their squad as they look to return to the top of the Premier League under new manager Mauricio Pochettino. Besides Pulisic, several other players are set to depart the club, including Hakim Ziyech and Mateo Kovacic.

Christian Pulisic will leave Chelsea, having scored 26 goals and added 21 assists in 145 games in all competitions. He won three trophies during his time in London, including the UEFA Champions League trophy in 2020-21.
