The New York Knicks have reportedly taken an interest in “Bad Boy” Isaiah Stewart, a 6-foot-9 power forward/center hailing from Rochester, New York. Having played college basketball for the Washington Huskies and he is now one of the hottest prospects in this year’s NBA Draft.

According to Mike Hopkins, Stewart’s head coach at the University of Washington, the 19-year-old player is already shaping up to be a top tier player, with Hopkins even comparing him to the Clippers’ Montrezl Harrell. Hopkins praised Stewart for his relentlessness on court, even stating that “he’s got a motor like a Ferrari”.

Standing at 250 pounds, Stewart is expected to be a strong candidate for the Knicks’ No. 27 pick in the draft and is likely to join the team should he be chosen, particularly because of being stationed in New York City at this time. The power forward/center is reported to be conducting workouts with numerous teams in Manhattan as a means of cementing a strong position in this year’s draft.

The Knicks are not the only team to show interest in the youngster, however. The Boston Celtics, who have the 14th draft pick overall, may also consider making a move for Stewart. While it has not yet been confirmed, the Celtics consider making a move for Stewart in the first round of the draft on November 18th.
