It appears that French star striker Kylian Mbappe is looking for a new challenge in his career. According to multiple reports from Europe, Mbappe told Paris Saint-Germain that the 2020/21 will be his last season with the club and that he wants to leave next year.

Earlier in 2020, Mbappe dismissed the transfer rumors that surrounded him for the better part of the summer and committed to seeing out this season with Paris. However, he isn’t willing to stay past that.

Real Madrid is seen as the main favorite for landing Mbappe, as La Liga giants explored the transfer possibilities for the 21-year-old player in the past. Barcelona, Manchester United, and Liverpool are also on alert and will probably give it a go if the opportunity arises.

It’s believed that any club interested in Kylian Mbappe will have to pay a price tag north of $200 million. PSG reportedly won’t budge from this despite the fact that Mbappe has just two years left on his deal, and could potentially leave the club in summer 2022 for free.

Mbappe initially joined PSG in 2017 from Monaco in a loan deal that included an obligation to buy for $170 million. Since then, he more than justified his high price tag, scoring 90 goals and dishing 51 assists in 124 games in all competitions. Mbappe also helped Paris win three consecutive Ligue 1 titles.
