The reigning MLS champions LAFC continue to add talent to their already deep roster. The team announced on Friday that they had completed the transfer of Polish midfielder Mateusz Bogusz from Premier League side Leeds United.

Bogusz inked a four-year contract with the MLS side that includes a club option for the 2027 season. While LAFC didn’t disclose financial details of the move, the reports say that the transfer was worth $1 million.

“Mateusz is a talented young player with great ability who will provide another quality piece to our club,” LAFC general manager John Thorrington said in a statement. “He is a dynamic and exciting attacker who has the ability to help our group in our ambitions to win more trophies. I am excited to welcome Mateusz to Los Angeles.”

Mateusz Bogusz has been with Leeds United since 2019 and was once considered to be among their most talented players. However, he spent most of his time on loans with lower-tier Spanish clubs and only got to play three official games for Leeds.

LAFC already added several other players with experience in top European leagues this year. Among the arrivals were right-back Sergi Palencia, who joined from Saint-Etienne, and former German youth international Timothy Tillman, who came from Greuther Furth.
