Lamar Jackson is now the quarterback with the most rushing yards in the history of the NFL. Jackson broke the record, previously held by Michael Vick, in a 31-2 Christmas Day win over the Houston Texans.

Jackson entered the Texans game needing 86 rushing yards to break Vick’s all-time mark of 6,109. He did that with four runs in which he totaled 87 yards and a touchdown while bringing his career total to 6,110 rushing yards.

Jackson reached the mark in 102 career games compared to Vick’s 143 games in the NFL.

Overall, Jackson finished the game by completing 10 out of 15 passes while throwing for 168 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Derrick Henry also took a big part of the load, carrying the ball 27 times and rushing for 147 yards and a touchdown.

The Ravens also benefited from a strong performance by their defense, which neutralized talented QB CJ Stroud and kept the Texans’ rushing game in check. Stroud was sacked five times and threw an interception while Houston managed to run for only 58 yards.

With the win over the Texans, the Ravens are now in control of their destiny in the AFC North. At 11-5, they only need to win their next game against the struggling Cleveland Browns to repeat as division winners.
