Having been more than 140 days since corona virus brought a halt to professional basketball in the United States, the NBA is due to resume action on Friday.

The season is due to restart with an extensive number of health guidelines in place, which include the requirement for all players participating in the season restart to reside within the NBA “bubble” at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

In order to restrict the spread of coronavirus, only 22 of the existing 30 NBA franchises have been invited to participate in Orlando. Those teams with no chance of progressing to the playoffs, such as the Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks, have been excluded.

That being said, the Los Angeles Lakers’ key player Lebron James is one player to look out for as the NBA resumes. The 35-year-old player, now in his 17th season in the NBA, is on a mission to win the NBA Championships with his third unique franchise.

Unbelievably, James’ competition for this feat comes from Kawhi Leonard, who plays for the Lakers’ rivals Los Angeles Clippers. Leonard previously won the title the San Antonio Spurs after which he was crowned an NBA Champion with the Toronto Raptors last season.
