Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James had his night cut short as he left the court early during his team’s 114-101 loss to the Clippers on Wednesday.

With 5:41 remaining in the fourth quarter, the Lakers star grabbed onto his groin area as he began to experience what his team labeled as “left leg soreness”. James had to leave the court thereafter as a result of the pain.

According to Lakers coach Darvin Ham, the team will not know of the severity of James’ injury until he has undergone a medical evaluation by the team’s doctors on Thursday. So far, Ham has only revealed that James is experiencing leg discomfort while refusing to elaborate further.

This injury was a disruption to what was otherwise a stellar performance for James in the Clippers game. Prior to his injury, James scored 30 points on 12-for-22 shooting, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals in 32 minutes of play.

Back in the 2018/19 season, James suffered a tear in his left groin that caused him to miss 17 games between December and January.
