It looks like the Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is rewriting NBA’s history books every time he steps on the court in 2021-22. His latest achievement came on Sunday night against the Phoenix Suns when he reached 10,000 career assists and achieved something that no one has done in the history of the game.

James is now the only player to have a career stat line that includes 10K in points, rebounds, and assists. And he has managed to compile it with extra 20K points in the bag.

James recorded his 10,000th assists in the second quarter of the 140-111 loss to the Suns, finding Carmelo Anthony for an open three-pointer. The 37-year-old finished the game with 31 points, seven boards, and six assists.

“To now sit alone at a statistical category in this league that I’ve really modeled my game after: being able to score, rebound and assist. I sit alone at a stat is pretty like–I’d say ‘cool,’ but it doesn’t quite make sense to me ,” James said of his achievement after the contest.

This season, LeBron James has been playing phenomenally, averaging 29.7 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game. However, these stats haven’t translated to wins for the Lakers, who are clinging to a play-in spot with a 29-38 record.
