LeBron James did not play in the Lakers’ loss to the Rockets, and the team cited a sore right groin as the injury. This is not something new to James as he sat out 27 games last year from a groin injury, and missed multiple games this year before the season was paused in March.

The 35-year-old superstar is averaging close to 20 points per game, and averaging 33.5 minutes of playing time in LA’s 4 games since the season resumed.

Although the Lakers have already clinched the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference, they are struggling offensively behind their 2-2 start. They are the only team out of the 22 playing in the Orlando bubble that is averaging less than 100 points per game, something that needs improvement if they are going to make the deep playoff run that fans are expecting.

Russel Westbrook of the Houston Rockets also missed the game due to a right triceps contusion, but Houston managed to beat the Lakers 113-97 anyways.
