LeBron James remains unavailable for selection by the Los Angeles Lakers after he picked up a right foot injury during the 111-108 victory against the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday. The team revealed on Thursday that James will be re-evaluated in about three weeks.

The announcement came after James returned to Los Angeles and was evaluated by the Lakers’ medical staff and physicians.

Without James in their lineup, the Lakers have struggled to find form, going 1-1 with a 109-121 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday before beating the Oklahoma City Thunder 123-117 on Wednesday.

James was injured following a drive on Mavericks’ Dwight Powell in the third quarter. He claimed to hear a pop before collapsing onto the floor.

During an interview with ESPN’s Katie George, James explained that he believed that he stepped on Powell’s foot, however, replays showed that there was no contact between the two players.
