Just because he isn’t on a team to start the 2022 NFL season doesn’t mean that ex-Philadelphia Eagles wideout DeSean Jackson is retired. And Jackson himself made sure to the point that out during his recent appearance on the “I AM ATHLETE” show.

“Nah, I ain’t retired! I’m a free agent, and ready to go,” Jackson said when asked whether he’s officially retired from the game of football.

When asked to name his preferred destinations, Jackson shared that his top choice is the Eagles, while his second option would be the Green Bay Packers.

DeSean Jackson spent the first six seasons of his NFL career with the Eagles. He made three Pro Bowls while in Philadelphia and got one Second-team All-Pro selection during that time. Jackson also played with Washington and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before returning to the Eagles for his second stint in 2019.

Jackson started the 2021 NFL season with the Los Angeles Rams but ended up playing just seven games before being released upon his request. He later signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, where he made 12 catches for 233 yards and a touchdown in nine games. The Rams went on to win a Super Bowl, and despite the fact he wasn’t on the team for the whole season, Jackson received a Super Bowl ring from the franchise.
