This weekend Great Britain was definitely the center of the sports world as it was hosting one of the most exciting sports events in recent times. Louis Hamilton once again showed everyone his greatness by winning the British Grand Prix for the sixth time in his career. This is a historic victory for Hamilton since he managed to break his record of five victories at this event, a record that he shared with legends Alain Prost and Jim Clark.

The 34-year-old Hamilton managed to finish the race with 26 points. He was followed by the second Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas with +25.928 seconds, while Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc finished third with +30.177 seconds.

The two young drivers Charles Leclerc from Ferrari and Max Verstappen from Red Bull had a nail-biting duel which showed that they might be the next legendary rivals in F1.

“Today was one of the best days I think I’ve ever had. Just the excitement and the joy I feel” – said Hamilton, while also adding: “It definitely hasn’t sunk in. I still remember my first win here, my first pole here. Every year it’s such a challenge. This track is amazing – like poetry in motion,” he said.
