Liverpool was desperate after a 70th minute goal tied their match against Tottenham Hotspur. They couldn’t believe that they’d let yet another lead slip out of their grasp.

They’d fought so hard to maintain their lead in the Premier League, and it looked ready to slip away.

The resilient Reds, however, had other plans.

With a 90th-minute goal, the tide turned, and Liverpool claimed a huge victory over Spurs and maintained their EPL lead for another week in an emotional victory.

Roberto Firmino opened the scoring for Liverpool on Sunday at Anfield with a header that the striker buried into the net after an Andrew Robertson cross.

They held the North Londoners off of the board until Lucas Moura scored to tie the game in the 70th minute.

However, the Reds kept pushing and finally found the net to score a 90th minute goal and claim a 2-1 lead that they wouldn’t relinquish. Mo Salah headed the ball towards the net, and Hugo Lloris got a hand on it. However, his save was deflected towards Spurs defender Toby Alderweireld, and the ball glanced off of him and into the net.

Although Manchester City could move ahead of them by a point with a win in their Wednesday game against Cardiff City, the Premier League could still go anyone’s way.
