Bayern Munich has reportedly made a second offer for Liverpool’s star forward Sadio Mane in recent days, but the result was the same. The Premier League club was once again unimpressed by the bid and didn’t think much before rejecting it. This is despite the fact that Mane is entering the final year of his contract and seems to be ready to move on.

According to Sky Sports, Bayern first offered a £21 million for Mane outright and was willing to include an additional £4 million in add-ons. After the Reds passed on, the Bundesliga giants have upped the upfront payment to £23.5 million and add-ons to £6.5 million. However, this still doesn’t seem to be enough to complete the deal.

While Liverpool is aware of Mane’s wish to have a new challenge, the English side still doesn’t intend to let him go without getting an appropriate return. They would like to get north of £40 million and seem willing to keep him for another season if Bayern doesn’t come up with their bid.

Sadio Mane arrived in Liverpool in 2016 and has since played 263 games for the club. He scored 120 goals and dished 48 assists in all competitions while helping the club win six trophies. This included UEFA Champions League in 2018-19 and the Premier League title in 2019-20.
