The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Atlanta Braves 4-3 in Game 7 of the National League Champion Series on Sunday.

They will now face the Tampa Bay Rays in the World Series, who knocked off the Houston Astros in Game 7 of the American League Champion Series a day earlier.

This will be the 20th World Series for the Dodgers franchise. They have won it all six times, with the last championship coming in 1988. The Dodgers have played in three of the last four, but have not been able to win one in those appearances.

Tampa Bay is going to their second World Series in franchise history. The first time they made it to the World Series, in 2008, they were defeated by the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Dodgers were expected to make it this year once again, finishing the regular season with the league’s best record. Los Angeles will rely on their high-powered offense to win it all, while the Rays will depend on their dominant pitching rotation of Blake Snell, Charlie Morton, and Tyler Glasnow.

The World Series begins on Tuesday. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the series will be played on neutral ground at the newly-opened Globe Life Field, home of the Texas Rangers, in Arlington, Texas.
