According to reports out of the Spanish capital, newly-acquired striker Luka Jovic could be on his way out of Real Madrid on loan after failing to convince skipper Zinedine Zidane of his ability.

Jovic joined Los Blancos in July after the La Liga club paid $67 million for his transfer. The young striker was set to become a big part of Real Madrid’s future after impressing at Eintracht Frankfurt with 27 goals in a spectacular 2018-19 season.

However, it appears that Zidane hasn’t been impressed by Jovic’s form in the preseason, in which he has failed to score for Real Madrid. Zidane apparently prefers to hold steady with Karim Benzema as the only pure striker on the roster and let Jovic go elsewhere to accumulate minutes and experience.

Part of the reason for this decision could be the increasing probability of Gareth Bale staying with Los Blancos this season after Real Madrid’s inability to find a transfer partner for the forward. Apparently the coach has decided that the 21-year-old Serbian striker just won’t find enough minutes to contribute with his squad.

Real Madrid has two weeks to find a loan partner for Jovic before the La Liga summer transfer window closes.
