I am eager to continue to put in the work to prove and be the best teammate I can.”

Steffen kicked off his professional career with Germany’s side Freiberg in 2015 and joined Columbus at the start of the 2017 season. 18 months later, the 23-year-old is the Allstate MLS Goalkeeper of the Year. He’s also proven to be a good player to the national team. This year, Steffen has played I six games for the national side, including a 1-1 draw against France.
