Manchester City’s Leroy Sane is returning home. After previously rejecting several contract extension offers from the Premier League side, Sane will now make his way to Germany and join Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

According to Goal.com, Bayern agreed to pay $67 million to Man City for Sane’s services. The initial transfer will be worth around $55 million, while the remaining $12 million is tied in bonuses and add-ons. Reportedly, City will also get 10 percent if Bayern decides to sell the 24-year-old again.

Sane, on the other hand, will receive a four-year deal that will pay him an astonishing $24.7 million a year. For comparison, the German international earned just around $6 million a year under his old contract with Man City.

The news doesn’t come as a surprise, as Leroy Sane was set to make a move to Bayern last summer. However, just before the deal was made official, Sane suffered a severe injury and ended up staying in England.

Sane joined City back in 2016 in a transfer worth $46 million from Bundesliga club Schalke 04. Since then, he made 135 appearances and scored 39 goals. He also helped the team win consecutive Premier League titles in the past two seasons.
