Manchester United’s admiration towards Tottenham Hotspur star striker Harry Kane is well documented. The Premier League powerhouse made several attempts to land Kane in the past, but their approach was swiftly denied by Tottenham each time. Still, it appears this won’t stop United from trying again.

According to multiple reports from English media, Man Utd is preparing to make another run at Kane in the summer transfer window. The club made the English star their main priority and believes they have better chances of succeeding than they had in the past.

The first reason for United’s optimism is the fact that Kane’s contract with Tottenham expires in the summer of 2024, which would make the London club much more open to conversation. Then there is the turmoil that is surrounding Tottenham due to the club’s bad performances in recent months and the uncertain future of manager Antonio Conte.

Kane is believed to be very open to the move, having realized that his chances to win a trophy with Tottenham are getting slimmer with each passing season. The 29-year-old was already close to moving to Manchester in 2021 when Manchester City called, but Tottenham refused to sanction the move despite the player’s wish to go.

After an underwhelming 2021-22 campaign, Kane returned to form this season. He has 20 goals in all competitions, including 18 in 26 Premier League matches.
