After finishing third in Premier League and claiming the UEFA Champions League spot on Sunday, Manchester United already started planning for the next season. According to ESPN, the first order of business for the team will be acquiring Borussia Dortmund’s starlet Jadon Sancho.

Man Utd have been mentioned as Sancho’s admirers for some time now, but haven’t made a move due to Borussia’s high asking price. However, now that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side secured UCL next season, United is determined to go all-in on the 20-year-old England international.

Dortmund previously set a $154 million asking price for Sancho and are reportedly still holding the same evaluation of their most prized asset. The Premier League side, on the other hand, is hoping they can negotiate a more team-friendly deal and would ideally want to spend around $100 million plus several add-ons and bonuses.

Sancho would be warmly welcomed to Old Trafford, as Manchester’s attacker Jesse Lingard praised his compatriot in a recent interview with Goal.com.

“Jadon is a brilliant player. It is obviously up to him,” said Lingard. “I’ve seen him with England, I’ve seen his qualities and I feel like he’d be a great addition to any team.”

Jadon Sancho is coming off a career season with Borussia Dortmund, having scored 17 goals and added 17 assists in 2019/20 Bundesliga campaign. Sancho joined Borussia in 2017 in a $10 million transfer from Manchester City.
