The Italian Serie A club Juventus brought some pretty strong additions to their team during this summer’s transfer period but they came at a great price. Since the club spent a great amount of funds and they will have to continue spending on high salaries for the players, it was expected that a few players would be leaving the team in order to help Juventus get back on track with their finances.

Reportedly, the British club Manchester City has shown great interest in Joao Cancelo and they have entered negotiations to acquire him from Juventus. The Italian club is hoping to sell the player for a fee of around $66.4 million which will partly compensate for the $83.1 million signing of Matthijs de Ligt during this summer. The British club doesn’t have much time to spare since the transfer window for the Premier League is closing in almost a week, which adds more pressure to the negotiation process.

It was also reported that there are other clubs that have shown interest in Cancelo including Paris Saint Germain and Manchester United. Cancelo caused negative reactions by the fans because he wasn’t giving his all on the field while training.
