It’s only been a year since Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Manchester United, but could there be a transfer on the horizon? Despite recent reports about other clubs showing interest in the Portuguese striker, sources close to the club claim that he’s not for sale.

Ronaldo has been linked with moves to Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain, but it seems these rumors don’t hold water. According to ESPN, sources close to United insist they “want and expect” him to stay at Old Trafford for another season.

Manchester United finished sixth in the Premier League this season, leading to reports that Ronaldo is “disappointed” and “frustrated” with the current state of the club. He tried to put on a brave face while speaking with reporters, saying he’s happy to be back at Old Trafford.

“For me, the most important thing is to try to win the games and try to win some championship or some cup, but I believe that Manchester will be where they belong. As I said before, sometimes it takes time but I still believe,” said Ronaldo, according to SkySports.

Ronaldo has a year left on his contract with United, with the option of another season, but sources close to the player claim he might be eying an exit because he has doubts about United’s ambitions for the future.
