Although the fate of Manchester United’s goalkeeper David De Gea has been uncertain for quite some time, the club has made it clear that they will do everything they can to keep him on the team. Now, after some time, they are back in talks with De Gea and this time United are confident they will manage to sign a new deal with the star player.

At the beginning of the year, there was an offering from Manchester of around $382.000 per week, which De Gea rejected suggesting that he should be paid as much as the team’s top paid player Alexis Sanchez, who currently earns around $643.000 weekly. But with the new offer, United is pretty confident that they will be able to persuade De Gea to stay at Old Trafford.

The new deal offers the goal keeper around 445.000 a week. It’s a four-year contract with the possibility of extending the deal for one more year. Currently De Gea receives a weekly paycheck of around $254.000 and if he signs the new deal it will certainly be a favorable increase.
