The British Premier League club Manchester United secured another important player after signing a new contract with their goalkeeper David de Gea earlier this week. Their star-defender Victor Lindelof put his signature on a new contract with the Red Devils after spending something over two years with the club.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said that Lindelof established himself in Manchester United and has become a very important part of the team – he also added that Lindelof brings calmness on the pitch and that he’s determined to help United and to be successful there.

The 25-year-old Swede signed a contract that will keep him in Manchester for five years, until the summer of 2024. He said that United felt like home since the day he arrived there and that he has grown significantly both as a player and as a person during the two years there.

Lindelof began his professional career back in 2010 playing for the Swedish club Vasteras SK. From there he went on to play in the Portuguese club Benfica where he stayed until 2017, after which he joined the Red Devils. So far, he has made 74 appearances for the Premier League club.
