After Valentino Rossi accused Marc Marquez of a dangerous driveĀ and deliberately crashing into other riders, we didn’t have to wait long to hear the reaction from another side.

The Spanish rider was ”very disappointed” with his colleague. Also, he added that Rossi’s indictments are not true and that he never wanted to endanger anyone on the track.

“In my career I never, never, never go straight to a rider thinking that he will crash. Always I try to avoid,” he said.

The Spaniard explained that his move was a consequence of the track conditions and a huge mistake, adding that Valentino’s remarks are definitely wrong. “Today what happened with Valentino was a mistake, a consequence of the track conditions because I locked the front. But in my career, what he’s saying, I think is wrong.”

Previously, Rossi stated that he is scared when he needs to drive alongside Marquez on the track and that he doesn’t feel safe. Also, the nine-time champion called the officials in Moto GP to punish Marquez.

“This is a very bad situation because he destroyed our sport because he doesn’t have any respect for his rivals, never,” he said.

After the race, Rossi’s friends and team prevented Marquez from entering Yamaha’s camp. The Italian rider himself denied the apology.

This is not the first time that these two have clashed on and off the track. Back in 2015 they also had one incident on the track and eventually, the officials had to intervene and make calm things down.
