Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo told the team that he needed help if they wanted him to stay and management has heard him loud and clear.

The Bucks made moves on Monday to acquire guard Jrue Holiday from the New Orleans Pelicans and Sacramento Kings guard Bogdan Bogdanovic. The Bucks gave up guards Eric Bledsoe and George Hill, along with several first-round draft picks to the Pelicans in exchange for Holiday.

Bogdanovic, who was a free agent, will be coming to Milwaukee along with small forward Justin James. The Bucks are sending Donte DiVincenzo, Ersan Ilyasova, and D.J. Wilson to Sacramento in the deal.

Antetokounmpo, who is a former league MVP and the Bucks only real star, said earlier that his coming free-agency decision and the possibility of leaving Milwaukee will depend on whether the Bucks are able to get him some help this offseason.

The Bucks organization is making it very clear that they want Antetokounmpo to stay and will do everything they can to help him compete for a title with the team.

Holiday averaged 19.1 points and 6.7 assists last season. The 28-year-old Bogdanovic averaged 15.1 points and 3.4 assists per game in 2019.
