The Houston Rockets are still reportedly looking for ways to trade James Harden—and not necessarily to the Brooklyn Nets or Philadelphia 76ers. Thankfully, ESPN reports that other teams have expressed strong desire to trade for him.

After Harden made it known that he wanted out, Houston’s front office certainly didn’t buckle to his will—but they started listening to offers all the same.

The most popular potential deal that arose involved the Nets, where it was reported that Harden wanted to join fellow superstars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. Unfortunately for Brooklyn, Houston wanted them to cough up more than they were willing to.

However, if a disgruntled Harden is what Houston will get this upcoming season, they may try to shop him elsewhere if the price is right.

As it turns out, a handful of playoff-caliber teams have expressed interest in trading some valuable assets in exchange for the defending scoring champion, reports ESPN.

It is yet to be revealed which teams have come forward, but it still sparks a handful of intrigue—mainly because whichever mystery team lands Harden will certainly see their NBA title stock rising exponentially this season.

The Rockets offered their former MVP guard a substantial two-year contract extension worth $103 million, and he still requested a trade. Clearly, they’d love to keep him, but not if he’s going to be unhappy.

Don’t be surprised if the trade deadline comes with James Harden rocking a jersey that doesn’t read Houston, Brooklyn, or Philadelphia.
