The Arizona Cardinals will have plenty of suitors if they decide to trade the third overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, at least six NFL teams have recently reached out to the Cardinals to see if they are willing to move it.

Schefter points out that despite interest, the Cardinals still haven’t decided whether to trade the pick or keep it for themselves.

There are no indications about which teams are willing to jump in the Cardinals’ spot, but they are most likely teams looking for a new quarterback. There are four quarterbacks considered worthy of a first-round selection this year, and it is almost guaranteed that all of them will be off the board early.

It is almost certain that the Carolina Panthers and the Houston Texans, who hold the first and second overall picks, respectively, will take signal-callers. The Indianapolis Colts are expected to do the same at No. 4, which makes the Cardinals’ pick extremely valuable.

Arizona, of course, doesn’t need a quarterback, considering they have Kyler Murray as their QB of the future. However, what probably makes it tough for the Cardinals to trade the pick is the fact that they might miss out on a generational defensive player in that case. If they end up moving, they won’t be able to select DT Jalen Carter or OLB Will Anderson Jr., who are considered the best players in the draft and future Pro Bowlers.
