There was no doubt among NBA voters on who deserved All-NBA First Team honors for the 2019/20 NBA season. Announcing the selections on Wednesday, the league revealed that Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James and Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo made the first team unanimously, receiving 500 votes each.

The duo is joined by Houston Rockets’ James Harden, Lakers’ Anthony Davis, and Dallas Mavericks’ guard Luka Doncic. Harden had 474 points and 89 first-team votes, Davis followed with 455 points and 79 first-team votes, while Doncic had 59 first-team votes and collected 419 points in total.

For James, this was his 16th selection, with which he broke the record for All-NBA Team selections. He was previously tied with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kobe Bryant, and Tim Duncan, who each had 15 All-NBA Team selections.

For Antetokounmpo, on the other hand, this is the second major honor, as he was previously selected as NBA Defensive Player of the Year for the 2019/20 season. It might not be the last one as well, since he is favorite to win the Most Valuable Player Award.
