The NBA recently published the results of its annual survey, which asked the general managers of the teams to make various predictions about the upcoming NBA season. According to GMs, the Milwaukee Bucks are the favorites to win the NBA title in 2022-23, while the Dallas Mavericks phenom Luka Doncic should win the NBA MVP Award.

The Bucks’ are favored by 43 percent of league’s GMs, followed by reigning champs Golden State Warriors (25 percent), LA Clippers (21 percent), and the last season’s finalists Boston Celtics (11 percent).

Doncic received an even bigger edge than the Bucks, with 48 percent of general managers crowning him the future MVP of the league. Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo is second with 34 percent while Philadelphia 76ers’ Joel Embiid (14 percent) and Warriors’ Stephen Curry (3 percent) close out the top four.

When it comes to the 2022 rookie class, the GMs believe Paolo Banchero, the first overall pick by the Orlando Magic, will win the NBA Rookie of the Year honors. Banchero is also favored to come out as the best player in five years from now, followed by Oklahoma City Thunder’s Chet Holmgren.

The survey also revealed a number of other interesting bits. For example, NBA’s general managers would overwhelmingly take Antetokounmpo or Doncic as the player to build their franchise around. Also, they perceive Miami Heat’s Erik Spoelstra as the best head coach in the league ahead of Golden State’s Steve Kerr and San Antonio Spurs Gregg Popovich.
