The NFL has announced the nominees for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio for 2021.
The three players with the best shot of making it into the Hall of Fame are two-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Peyton Manning, defensive back Charles Woodson, and wide receiver Calvin Johnson aka Megatron.
There are a total of 130 players that are eligible for the 2021 Pro Football Hall of Fame class. Some other notable names include wide receivers Roddy White and Wes Welker, running back Steven Jackson, offensive linemen D’Brickashaw Ferguson and Logan Mankins, defensive linemen Jared Allen and Justin Tuck, and linebacker Jerod Mayo.
A total of 65 offensive players, 49 defensive players, and 16 special teams players were nominated for the 2021 class. The one sure lock for the Hall of Fame is obviously Manning, who is considered one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of the NFL.
Along with his two Super Bowl titles, Manning was the NFL league MVP five times, was selected to the Pro Bowl 14 times, and holds a plethora of personal records.
The selection committee will meet on February 6, 2021, to select four to eight new members to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
