The NFL’s Pro Bowl festivities are heading to Las Vegas next year. After Orlando hosted the previous four Pro Bowl games, the league announced that the 2021 game would take place at Las Vegas Raiders’ new Allegiant Stadium.

The 2021 Pro Bowl game is scheduled for January 31st.

“We look forward to partnering with the Raiders and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority to bring the excitement of Pro Bowl week to our Las Vegas fans and community for the first time,” said NFL’s EVP of club business and league events Peter O’Reilly in a statement. “We thank the city of Orlando for its outstanding partnership in helping us to grow and evolve the Pro Bowl over the last four years.”

Many believe that the NFL’s decision to give Pro Bowl game to Las Vegas is the league’s attempt to make a strong push in a new market and help the Raiders to settle in at their new location. Raiders will play their first season in Vegas this year, after spending the previous 25 years in Oakland.

“The Raiders welcome the NFL Pro Bowl to Allegiant Stadium and to Las Vegas, the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World,” added Raiders president Marc Badain. “Pro Bowl week is a celebration of the best the NFL has to offer, and there is no better place than Las Vegas to celebrate and honor the league’s biggest stars.

Las Vegas will be the 11th city to host the Pro Bowl since the inaugural game in 1950. Other memorable host cities include Los Angeles, Miami, and Honolulu.
