Hockey in August is yet another reason why 2020 has been an unusual year, although everyone is happy that sports are scheduled to resume, no matter what month they play in. Baseball is scheduled to start on July 23rd, with hockey close behind on August 1st.

Sports were some of the first things to shut down, and while there has been much lost revenue and fans have missed watching their favorite teams, everyone is excited to get back.

Many sports, including hockey, are going with a new format in order to finish the season fast and safe, and are hoping it will reel more fans in due to the new way the 2020 playoff tournament will be played.

Times have yet to be announced, but when the puck hits the ice in Toronto and Edmonton (the 2 cities picked to be the location hubs of the tournament), there is no doubt the eager fans will be watching the much anticipated return of the NHL.
