New Baltimore Ravens’ wideout Odell Beckham Jr. would like to see star quarterback Lamar Jackson feeding him the ball this upcoming season. Still, Beckham reiterated that he didn’t “get any assurances” this would be the case before signing with the team.

Speaking at his first press conference as a Raven earlier this week, Beckham addressed the rumors that the Ravens managed to lure him by telling him Jackson will be with the team in 2023.

“Didn’t get any assurances for anything, you know life’s uncertain,” Beckham told reporters. “I think that we don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow, or the next day. We only know what’s happened in the past.”

However, Beckham did use the opportunity to send a message to Jackson.

“Lamar, if you’re watching, I would love to get to work with you,” the three-time Pro Bowler said.

Lamar Jackson’s future in Baltimore is uncertain, considering that the former NFL MVP publicly stated he wants to leave the team after two sides failed to agree to a contract extension. The Ravens placed a non-franchise tag on Jackson earlier this offseason, allowing the player to negotiate with other teams. If he signs a contract offer, the Ravens can match it or let him walk in exchange for two first-round picks.

Jackson also has the option to play under the tag in 2023 before hitting free agency next year or to sit out the season.
