Ohio State’s star wideout Marvin Harrison Jr. is widely considered by draft analysts and scouts as the best non-QB prospect in college football. However, there is a chance that Harrison Jr. might not be on the board when the 2024 NFL Draft starts.

Speaking with reporters earlier this week, Harrison said that he still hadn’t decided whether to enter his name in the draft or return to Ohio State for another year.

“Still undecided,” Harrison said. “You guys know, coming into this year I wanted to beat ‘the team up north’ and win a Big Ten championship and obviously I didn’t do that this year. I think that’s a great motive to come back if that’s what I decide to do. It’s something I definitely wanted to do in my Ohio State career, and not having done that yet, that opens the door for me to come back.

Harrison Jr., the son of Hall of Fame wide receiver Marvin Darnell Harrison Sr., built an impressive college resume in the past couple of seasons. He had 77 catches for 1,263 yards and 14 touchdowns in his sophomore year and followed that up with 67 receptions for 1,211 yards and 14 TDs in 2023. This made him the first player in Ohio State’s history to have back-to-back seasons with 1,000+ receiving yards.

Most mock drafts project Harrison Jr. to be the third player selected after USC’s quarterback Caleb Williams and North Carolina’s signal-caller Drake Maye. However, the allure of being a high draft pick doesn’t seem to be strong enough to convince Harrison Jr. to head to the pros. At least, not yet.
