Oklahoma City Thunder’s All-Star guard Chris Paul decided to take the blame for Thursday night’s 111-98 loss to Houston Rockets, which saw them falling behind 0-2 in the series.

Paul, who finished the contest with 14 points and just two assists, told reporters that he has to “be better” in the upcoming games.

“Gotta be better. I gotta be better,” said Paul. “That’s the tough thing, to know how hard we fought, guys worked hard. We put ourselves in a position to win that game, and I gotta be better for us.”

Thunder looked good for the most part of the Game 2 and entered the fourth quarter with 80-77 lead. However, Rockets responded with 17-0 run and in the fourth and managed to close out the game despite an off-night from their All-Star James Harden.

Harden finished the game with 21 points, hitting just two threes from 11 attempts, but the rest of Houston’s rotation showed up as six other players finished in double digits.

OKC, on the other hand, only had three players besides Paul to score more than eight points.

“We gotta take it one game at a time, learn from this game, and hell, I gotta show up. That simple,” Paul added.
