After losing at San Mamés by a 1-0 final to Athletic Bilbao to begin its 2019-20 La Liga campaign, Barcelona fans were disappointed but hopeful. Leo Messi had missed the game with a calf injury, Luis Suárez was forced out after just 30 minutes due to a different calf injury, and the Cules had played at one of the toughest away stadiums in the league.

However, after finding out that winger Ousmane Dembele is now dealing with a hamstring injury that will force him to miss over a month of action, the Catalonian club is entering into a sort of panic mode after seeing most of its key members lost due to injury.

The injury was suffered by the French winger during a training session on Monday. The team is preparing to face Real Betis in its home opener on Sunday evening.

Now, with Dembele out and Suárez and Messi unlikely to face Betis on Sunday, Barcelona finds itself in a real attacking crisis as three of its four forwards will be unable to play.

Only the newly-signed Antoine Griezmann is fit and available for Sunday’s match.

The club looks to turn to Rafinha and B-team forward Carles Pérez in the match in the event that Messi and Suárez are unable to go.
