There will be college football in 2020. On Friday, Pac-12 Conference announced its plans to resume its college football activities via a conference-only competition on September 26th.

The “return-to-competition plan” will see the 10-game season, with each team playing five home and five away games against their conference rivals. The Pac-12 championship game is scheduled for December 18th or December 19th.

As part of the announcement, the “Conference of Champions” also released the schedule for all the games.

“The schedule and return to play plans provide for maximum flexibility and the best opportunity to play all fall sports in an environment that prioritizes safety,” said Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott. “At the same time, we will continue to evaluate the best available science, data, and advice of public health officials as we make decisions and any required adjustments going forward.”

With this decision, Pac-12 followed the path taken by several other college conferences in recent weeks. Big Ten and SEC announced conference-only season earlier in July, while ACC will play 10 in-conference games and one non-conference game in 2020.
