There’s been a lot of exciting talk lately regarding the possible destination of defensive lineman JJ Watt. Apparently, the Green Bay Packers are among the favorites to land him.

Watt spent his entire career playing for the Houston Texans, where he was initially drafted in 2011. When he started out, he immediately showed how valuable he was, winning the Defensive Player of the Year award three times within his first five seasons. However, it looks as though he’ll finally be wearing a new uniform next season.

NFL reporter John Clayton claims that the Packers are in the lead to possibly get him, but acknowledges that other teams are in the running as well. On 93.7 The Fan, a Pittsburgh radio talk show, Clayton said: “I think it’s going to be Tennessee, Buffalo or Green Bay, probably more Tennessee or Green Bay. Outside chance at the Raiders.

Fans have also hoped that he’d land with the Pittsburgh Steelers, considering the fact that he has two brothers who play there, TJ and Derek. However, Watt is simply too good for other teams not to try and sign him regardless.

Watt wants to win his first Super Bowl, so even though salary will certainly matter to him, he may take a slight pay cut in order to play for a team that’s a real contender.
