Green Bay Packers’ nose tackle Kenny Clark cashed in on his first career Pro Bowl season in 2019. The Packers announced over the weekend that Clark inked a four-year extension that keeps him with the organization through 2024.

Reportedly, the deal is worth $70 million and makes Clark the highest-paid nose tackle in the league and one of the top 12 earners on the defensive side of the ball.

Clark was a big contributor for improved Packers’ defense last season, starting all 16 games for the first time in his career. He finished the year with 62 tackles, 6.0 sacks, and seven QB hits.

“It’s a blessing man. Feels good,” said Clark after inking the deal. “Honestly, I don’t even know what to say. I’m just excited to be a Packer for the long haul.”

Clark arrived at Green Bay in 2016 when Packers took him 27th overall out of UCLA. During his first four seasons with the franchise, he racked up 193 tackles, 16.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles.

Signing Kenny Clark to an extension was one of the main priorities for the Green Bay Packers this offseason, but they still have a lot of jobs to do. Their All-Pro offensive tackle David Bakhtiari, running back Aaron Jones, corner Kevin King, and center Corey Linsley are all set to become free agents next season.
